Bridesmaid dresses?

bride26, 6 August, 2011 at 21:04 Posted on Planning 0 2

Hey, If my wedding dress is long and tradional (A-line) should i have my bridesmaids in long dresses or shorter? Im having a pink colour scheme and i think ideally id like them in chiffon.

Both of them are such different body shapes (both gorgeous though!) but i figured im bound to get them both in something the same to suit?

Anyone any advice? what are you doing for yours?

Thanks!

I think that with an A-line dress for you, you can pretty much put them in whatever you like. There are certain styles of wedding dress where I can imagine it would look weird if the bridesmaids were in something that clashed in style, but within reason I don't think you'd have a problem. I have a strapless A-line dress and my bridesmaids are all in v-neck knee length dresses. They have slightly sticky-out skirts though, which I guess works well alongside mine.

I'd take them both shopping - you may get lucky, as I did, and find something that suits them all, or you might find similar/same colours but different styles to flatter them both. They definitely don't have to match!
