Bridesmaid dresses

Hi Hitchers,

I thought I was doing well with planning etc, things are getting there. I have booked church, reception venue, arranged the meal menu, bought my dress, (currently sending) save the dates, have sourced invites ready to order, booked photographer...

The wedding is not until July 2012, but things get booked quickly here. However, I just cannot find a bridesmaid dress that I like, the maids like or that is at all reasonably priced! Our colour is kind of aqua blue / sky blue depending on dresses we find.

Has anyone managed to source nice dresses in this sort of colour that don't cost more than £100?

    Have you thought about finding a style then getting them made in the colour you want? I had all my dresses made for me and my bridesmaids by estilo moda in milton keynes,although she has a website and does post out orders if you cant get to her as long as you send correct measurements to her. Mine cost under £100 each and they were floor length strapless with corset backs.

    I would take your bridesmaids to try on various styles, get a good photo and she or any dressmaker will be able to replicate it in the exact colour you want.

    hope this helps. she also made my wedding dress. she is a seamstress but gets them made either in spain or china but mine came out very well and looked reat on the day. she did these in the material and colour i wanted, and as long as shes got a clear pic of front and back she can replicate it
