Bridesmaid Dresses - cost

Dumpling, 29 April, 2008 at 14:43 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hi

Just wondering if anyone can give me a ballpark figure for Dessy bridesmaid dresses. The website shows a diamond rating for cost but doesn't give any approximations.

I'm just trying to figure out options between buying them and getting them made and the budget's kinda tight!

Cheers

Karen

    Hi claires

Thanks for the response - £150 is budget blowing so I might be on the 'phone to the dressmaker.

    Cheers

I tried on a knee length one a few weeks ago for my friends wedding and it was £155. I thought that was quite expensive when I first started planning my wedding. We had ours made and they ended up costing more than we thought at £195.

Even dresses in monsoon can be about £150 - weddings can be so expensive!

    Hi

    Thanks for your responses.

I'm actually one of the bridesmaids and have been given the job of co-ordinating the dresses. I do know a dressmaker that's reasonable but I did think we might not be saving much.

    Cheers

    Hi,

Don't forget that you might need to pay for alterations on top of the price of the dress. This could be as much as £20 per alteration.
