I'm looking for ideas and thoughts on what kinds of dresses to have my bridesmaids wear at my wedding.
I bought a vintage dress that I absolutely love. It's off white lace, ankle length with three quarter length sleeves and the neckline comes right up to the base of my neck - like a t shirt. The back is then being adapted so it's more open, but it's basically a pretty modest 50s gown with a slight a line.
The thing is, it's proving tricky to think of what kinds of bridesmaids' dresses would look right with it. All the 50s dresses are halternecks with big a line skirts, but given that the dress has a hippy/bohemian feel that just seems wrong. So then I thought maybe the way to go would be less vintage and more just bohemian. But all the ideas I've had there are full length, and the bridesmaids are keen to wear something above the knee - and I want to for something they will like!
So, any ideas?! A style that is above the knee but still relaxed/bohemian feel? Impossible?!
