Bridesmaid shoes

Mattdonna, 24 April, 2008 at 21:43 Posted on Planning 0 7

What colour are your bridsmaids shoes?

Do you normally match the dress colour? Mine are Claret with a pale gold sash. Do you think that gold shoes would look ok?

I think gold would go well and match their sashes.
My bridesmaids are in duck egg and have silver shoes.?

Thanks, MIL reckons they will look silly having light shoes, so it has put doubts in my mind.

My dresses are dark purple and my shoes are pale silver:http://www.faith.co.uk/productdetails.aspx?pid=780485&language=en-GB&cid=

If I were you I would match the sash to the shoes.

I would match the sash. My dresses have some gold in them and we are going for these

    Thanks Ladies, I thought that.

MIL wants me to start dying shoes but with one Bridesmaid in London and the other going to America for most of the summer. I think it will be too much hassle anyway. This way I figure I could get chain store shoes and get them to try on independently.

Thanks for putting my mind at rest

I was having a stress at the cost of buying the shoe and then dying them. My mum rang one of the shoe companies and asked them whether they'd make the shoes out of the left over bridesmaid dress material and they said yes for £45! They're only ballet pumps, but it's great. No worries over running or the colour not matching!

My BMs are sorting their own shoes out! CBM will want to wear strappy heels which won't be suitable for the 10yr old bridesmaid so I've told them to find something that matches and they are comfortable in... not got a clue what they have come up with so far!!
