Bridesmaid Shoes

Where did you get your shoes for your BM's?

My SIL2b finds it really hard to walk in high heels, was thinking of not going any higher than 3 inches for comfort anyway but I cant see any decent ones for decent prices.

I have been looking at Pink by Paradox and seen a pair that I really like (they look nice and comfy but are £50, a little too expensive ☹️) that I would dye to match the dresses but then my CBM, who is my best friend thought that it would be too much of the same colour (deep purple)and thought strappy sandals. I don't think strappies are a good idea for someone like my SIL2b who isn't confident in heels plus I don't like the idea of toes popping out from under the dresses everytime they walk (only my opinion though ?)

What do you think?, any suggestions as to where I could look?

Have you just tried looking in high street shops? Might be easier to go and try on lots of different styles that way.

What colour are you looking for?

We really struggled looking in the high street shops but that was cause we were having Brown, there are loads of other colours out there tho, especially the jewel colours, made me really wish I wasnt having brown!! We got some in the end in Debenhams.

This site is really good tho if you want to buy online and they dye as well if you want them too.

Got mine in Dune in the sale. They aren't particularly high either - one of my bm's never wears heels. Definitely try the high street shops.

I sent my bridesmaids out to buy their own shoes. I told them I wanted them to have silver sandals and left them to it. My sister and my niece bought 3.5 inch heels from Dorothy Perkins in the sale (£20) and my cousin went to Faith and bought 2 inch heels (£30). Much easier than trying to get them all together (they live at opposite ends of the country) and find something that suited all of them.

My bms are wearing black and their dresses are floor length. I've said that I don't mind what their shoes are like really as long as they are comfortable in them. I think silver sandals would be nice but I know at least one of them wouldn't be comfortable in really high heels. So we've agreed that they'll choose their own according to what they'll feel able to walk in

The colour I have gone for is a purple (aubergine) and I liked the thought of strappies with diamante's but they have all been a bit high for my SIL2b, I have tried BHS, who normally have a good selection but they look dire at the minute ☹️....not many shops over here on the high st sell dyeable shoes so unfortunately my options are limited.

I was thinking about letting them choose their own shoes but my best friend who is CBM loves her heels and I just worry about the length of time she would have to wear them for the pics being taken, she would be hobbling along when she joins the first dance ?

One of my bms is like your CBM and I have the same thoughts about her! She always buys high heels and can frequently be heard moaning halfway through a night out about how sore her feet are! I've just tried to subtly remind her that she could possibly be wearing them for around ten hours so to try and bear comfort in mind!

When we first went out to try on shoes (when we were picking up the BM's dresses) she tired on a pair and thought they were really comfy, I did ask her how comfy they would be after so many hours and she did change her mind but I'm still a little weary of letting her run free ?. She said that it's up to me as it's "my day" but I would still like her input.

    Hi debs!

I have the same issue and got mine from BHS SALE yesterday. They are called Rhonda and were only £15.00, all my BM's love them. They are coushioned and the heel is not high at all.

Here is the link if it will help.

I got both my shoes and the BMs' shoes from New Look. They might not be to everyone's taste but at £52 for all 3 pairs of shoes I was very pleased.

My bm's were in black , i asked them to provide their own shoes , i didn't mind what they were as long as they were silver , one had flats , one had stappy heels , one peep toe & the other two closed toe heels.

My sister got hers from D.Perkins £18 , the flat shoes also came from there , the other girls already had theirs.
