Bridesmaid/maid of honour

Hi ya i havent been on here for a while and had a question.

I decided to have my best mate from school to be my chef bridesmaid she is the same age as me and i got another bridesmaid who is much older then me and i hear that the oldest brides maid has got to be the chef bridesmaid/ maid of honour . I am confused is that true?

    Nope - not true at all. You can call your bridesmaids whatever you want!

    The Chief Bridesmaid is generally the one who acts as your witness (though you could have anyone you want do it - I'm having my bro as my witness). I think the Maid/Matron oh Honour is American. If they are un-married they are Maid and if they are married then it's Matron of Honor.

    I was a bridesmaid for my best mate last year (first time!) and I wanted to be called Chief Briddesmaid but it's entirely up to you.

    Not as far as i know, but im sure that if one is already married themselves they are then considered MOH rather than a bridesmaid, chose whoever you want or dont have a CBM or MOH and allow your mum or another close female family member to do the little extras for you!
