Bridesmaid's colours

debzdaz, 29 August, 2008 at 16:08 Posted on Planning 0 34

Im having a hard time choosing the colour for the bridesmaid's. Im getting married on the 4th july 2009 so it'll be a summer wedding. I was thinking of going silver and i'll be in white. Can anyone give me any advice or tell me what your colours are??

I am going for a dairy milk chocolate wrapper, purple colour.

Since it is in July couldn't you go for nice bright summery colours, pinks or oranges or reds or something? You would have a whole range of flowers on offer. Alternatively I guess you could go for something light and have really bright flowers.

    Possibilities are endless!

I don't know now. I did have a couple of ideas in mind but now I'm just thinking whatever colour the three of them can agree on ?

Poppy red with silver accessories (H2B in grey/ silver suit)- wedding is end of October so kind of autumnal/ xmassey

If you can't decide on one colour, they could have different ice cream colours, baby pink, baby blue, lemon and pale green? These look really nice in pics I've seen in mags and very summery (bit jealous really)

Mine was in dark red to complement my dark red roses & the men's red ties or waistcoats. Worked really well, esp for photos with greenery backgrounds. Also easy to co-ordinate with table decs, stationery etc.

Im having 4 bridesmaid's lol, wish i handnt picked that many but i've 2 sister's, he's 2 sister's and then his daughter so you cant choose 1 without choosing the other. I wish now i hadve just had my future step daughter it would probably make life a whole lot easier Smiley sad.

Thats what i want them men to wear, but my h2b is adamant that he's not wearing grey or he's just being a pain. The red sounds lovely, the first colour i had in mind was burnt orange but i still want the white & silver. What about the colour Teal?? I havent been out looking at dresses yet so i'll maybe see the colour i want when i go out. OH NIGHMARE lol or im just being to picky.

Have you chosen the fabric you would like for them?, sometimes this might make it easier to decide on a colour ?

How about asking your BM's to write their ideas down and you right yours, scfunch them up into balls and put them in a jar and pull one out?....there are some really beautiful colours out there, I just choose my fave and the dreses have turned out really well ?

I`m having chocolate brown with ivory sash for the 3 older BMs, and ivory with chocolate brown sash for the 3 little ones. The big ones are having ivory calla lilies and the little ones bunches of orange orchids. I dont know about their accessories, think I`ll leave it to them (which means they wont be having any)

Do you know thats a really good idea. 1 of my bridesmaid's will be my future step daughter and she's only 14 so i know she would go for pink lol i wouldnt have pink not really a pinky person. But i will try that out and see how it goes. God im glad i came on here now lol. Oh the fabric i think is gonna be satin. When do you get married?

I've as well and to be honest i regret asking the 4 of them it would be alot easier with the 1, the 1 being my partners daughter. I asked my 2 sisters as you can have 1 without having the other, and i've asked my parnter's sister.

That sounds beautiful, i love red but my partners first wedding was burgandy so i want to try to be a bit differnet. Me & my h2b really love bright colours and as the weddings summer time i would like something bright.
