Bridesmaids Dresses 2 choices *Flash*

Gemini_Bride, 18 November, 2013 at 14:42 Posted on Planning 0 17

After 4 months of trying got my 3 bridesmaids together for the first time yesterday and we hit the high street to look for the bridesmaids dresses before one of them heads of for 10 weeks travelling. my girls are all different size and shapes and my priority is that they feel comfortable. i had been drawn to grey/navy but was open to colour but as we were shopping it was clear that navy is in abundance and more importantly looks beautiful on the girls.

we came away with 2 strong contenders which I have now ordered online in the right sizes but I was impressed by the quality and fit - much better than dessy in the bridal shops

so the two dresses we are looking at have inspired my first flash! what do you think?!

LOVE the first one! My bridesmaids are navy too and the dress is not too different.

    Great choices.

They are both really elegant and beautiful - good finds indeed! Think I slightly prefer the first one too ?

Thank you all for your comments, you have made me feel more confident!

I was a little worried about the second option looking more night time/black tie with the sparkles (however I did manage to get it for a bargainous £55 which makes me like it!) the other thing about that one is one BM is a 16/18 and i felt it may be a little exposing for her. Cannot wait for them to arrive in the right sizes so the girls can try them again!

Both lovely dresses and should suite most shapes. The second is my favourite though. Just has the edge for me.

Both the dresses are beautiful, however, I prefer the first one. It's a more unusual neckline. I was at a wedding in August and the bridesmaids wore a very similar style in lilac and it was so unexpected when they entered. But it has to be your choice and your girls must feel comfortable! Well done though for narrowing it down to 2 options, as there's so many lovely styles around xx

These are both lovely dresses , I think I prefer the 1st one. I am having Navy but not bought any dresses yet , had an unexpected shop on the high street a few weeks ago though and found this was the colour that suited my BM's the best. Think we're going to have a 'proper' shop after Christmas , maybe pick something up in the sales. If not will hopefully get some more ideas of style. Where is the 1st dress from if you don't mind me asking ?

Both dresses are beautiful! I think I prefer he second - but if any of the girls are particularly busty the first then! If I was a bridesmaid I'd be very happy with either Smiley smile

Don't mind you asking where they are from at all. The first is js collection at house of Fraser - and have money off at the moment! The second is jenny packham at debenhams - that had been reduced but looking today is full price again.

if any of your girls are tall ie 5'8" or taller js collection was great for length. Happy hunting everyone and thanks for your reassurance these are looking good!!

    I prefer the first one.

I can imagine it suits more sizes of ladies than the second one as well.

    Both beautiful though.

They're both lovely. I think I just prefer the second one but as a size 16 myself I would probably choose the first one as there's less flesh on show! If you could take the belt from the second one and add it to the first one I think that would be perfect! Both lovely though as they are.
