Bridesmaids on a budget

MrsHD2015, 3 November, 2013 at 19:57 Posted on Planning 0 17

Hello

Does anyone have any idea where i may be able to get affordable bridesmaid dresses. I would ideally like to spend maximum £40 per dress. I have considered asking my bridesmaids to choose and buy their own dresses but this would be a last resort as I would ideally like to buy the dresses for them myself! If anyone knows of any reliable online shops or has any suggestions that would be a great help!

Thanks Smiley smile xxx

My bridesmaid dresses were from ASOS and around £35, or there's plenty of nice high street places to get dresses from have you looked at BHS? Smiley smile

I found it easier to look for shorter styles than the long flowing bridesmaid dress look- Good luck with the hunt! xx

Mine were £30 in the Debenhams sale.

As long as you're flexible with what you want, high street is great for BM dresses.

Places like BHS, Debenhams, monsoon etc have loads of sales on so could find something within that price range.
Have also seen lovely dresses from shops like h&m, quiz & new look that easily pass as BM dresses but more affordable.
Ebay is where I got mine, I paid £54 for my BM's but seen so many under that price.

I was also going to suggest Asos, i've seen several amazing BM dresses this year from there!

Next Sale can also be quite good depending on the style you want.

    Hi everyone

Thanks so much for your suggestions, I've never shopped at Asos before so I will check it out, luckily I have a year but before i need to buy something!
Those dresses are beautiful and just the right style. my colour scheme is shades of coral and peach so I hope those colours will be in fashion when my wedding comes round - that would make life easier!

    Thank you all xxx

A few brides on here have got their BM dresses from H&M before and they were really nice.

Only thing is that you'd have to look next year as all dresses like that are out the shops for the season.

I bought mine on Amazon - £40 each including postage - pics in my report below. Really well made and easy to adjust, material was excellent quality.

Mine are from Warehouse, they cost £65 each and are stunning. Places like oasis, miss selfridge, and new look also have nice dresses.

It all depends what you want really, do you know what you want? (i.e. short, long, color, floaty, a-line, tight)

when I see people paying £200 etc... it blows my mind, you can get some lovely dresses anywhere between £5-£50 depending on style
