How we met …
August 2013 - Justin and I met online on a little known, dating website. The weird thing is that we went to school, lived, socialized and worked in the same area all of our lives. When we were seven, his road was a continuation of mine and his school was five minutes away from my house. We must’ve walked by each other so many times over the years and never met. I’d love to be able to go back in time and see how many times that happened and just how close we were to one another.
We had our first date in a pub at the junction in between the roads we lived on as children. We clicked straightaway, had lots of banter and got off to a flying start ….
The proposal
August 2014 - We had been talking about marriage for some months and Justin felt that it was important to ask for my Dad’s blessing before officially asking me. So we made an arrangement to have lunch with my Dad on the Thursday because that was the earliest he could meet up. Earlier that week we bought the engagement ring and booked the venue so the proposal wasn’t unexpected! We finally had lunch with my Dad, Justin got the nod of approval and he proposed to me in the champagne bar in St Pancras. I have always loved St Pancras Station and now I have a reason to love it even more!
