Bright Coloured and Black dresses

Bathsheeba, 1 May, 2012 at 21:20 Posted on Planning 0 6

Why is this such a phenomenon!?

A white lace dress is so easy to find, so what's so difficult about making this in black? Black material is not hard to find so why is it non-existant. I've been looking for a black fishtail dress with lace and sequins. Easy in white, but not in black.

In fact, none of the sites I find do any black wedding dresses. I don't want white with black bits. BLACK. ALL BLACK ?

The only things I can find are prom dresses or bridesmaid dresses which are no good for what I want.

Sorry for the rant but I'm tearing my hair out. Smiley sad

I seen 2 black dresses on a site the other night but didn't bookmark them, but will have a look and see if I can find them again and get back to you if I do.

Years ago when I was abou 18, I was in a waiting room and it was full of wedding mags. Looked through a few of them and pretty much all had a whole massive section devoted to black wedding dresses. They all looked gorgeous and I never forgot. But you can't find many about now

    Hi.

Not sure where you live but my daughter is having her dress made in a non standard colour by a great dressmaker in a shop in Norwich. It is called Love Couture and the lady is great at coming up with exactly what you have in mind. May be worth a visit. If you or your guests want quirky or bright fascinators have a look at my new website www.weddingfascinator.co.uk. More pics on my facebook site too.

    Hope this helps

Thank you Lemon Violet. I live in Manchester so it's a bit away but I will definitely have a look. I considered getting it tailored but the cost involved >.<

I read about a wedding dress maker in Bradford/Leeds area who was reasonably priced. Wrong side of the Pennines for you I know, but it's perhaps doable. Can't remember the name of her company though!! So not much help. Sorry! I'll see if I saved it anywhere.
