Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Air CON!

Hi just sitting at my desk and getting a bit wound up and as i'm the only girl in my office (which is only me + 5 blokes) thought i'd see if any other girlies have this problem too....

The blokes i work with are obsessed with having the air con on!! now ok yea i am prone to getting a bit chilly, but i do get hot and know when a room is stuffy and needs airing but our office is in the shade, we're on the ground floor and it's overcast outside!!!

grrr it's summer and looks like i'll be confined to cardigan/jumpers again! Smiley sad

    I think it's a man thing ! Air Con is a gadgety type thing and we know how they like their gadgets !

    Yep - t shirts! well aparently it's set at 21 (which it is) but it's set so that if the temp is already below this it stops cooling, but i sit right by it and it's always blowing lol

    hmm nevermind i guess i should just do more lol

    Your lucky you have got air con!

    We are a listed building so cannot have it installed! It gets soooooooo hot in here! This week has been horrible!

    I have to say I love my aircon. I work as a Receptionist with one other girl. We're the only two in our part of office. We have huge windows and it gets really hot in here. We have to wear long sleeved shirts and full suit, so we get very hot. We have Air Con on freezing at mo :-)

    Everyone who walks through complains its soooo cold...urmmm your in a tshirt, I'm in a suit!!!

    Oh gosh, i feel sooo sorry for you!!

    Our work is pretty good in the summer, if its forcast over 21 degrees for the next day, we get an email to say we can dress down, so can wear shorts and everything!

    But on a usual day if its warm, we can stil pretty much wear anything, strap tops, 3/4 linens etc.

    Suppose it makes up for the lack of air con!

    Your lucky...We have to wear our suit no matter what. Thankfully I come to work in a vest top and change when I get in and leave. The air con is wonderful so I don't feel too sticky. I do get a cold nose though!!! ?

    If it helps I have the exact same problem only we have to have the aircon AND fans, all of which are pointed at me!!

    Lol i do agree when it's needed air con is good but think it's just that i sit right by the blower and the blokes dont lol oh well there are worse thing to moan about - oh i must be in a better mood today ?
