Bubble question??

jojo2, 27 May, 2011 at 14:46 Posted on Planning 0 14

Sorry if this seems a silly question but I was planning on having bubbles on a table with the confetti for guests when they exit the ceremony room to us for the photo's but I have noticed people have them on the dinner tables. Is it the norm to have them on the dinner table and if so are the guests supposed to blow bubbles during dinner or are they to be used during the evening reception? ?

I have no idea as I've not yet been to a wedding with bubbles, I'm sure someone can help you though.

I have been to two weddings with bubbles. They were both on the table and we used them whilst waiting for dinner - did feel a bit odd though as sometimes you'd end up with bubbles on the food Smiley atonished But I love bubbles. I would say go for whatever you feel like. Just make sure you tell a few friends what to do and when so that the rest of the guests can join in at the right moment.

We're not allowed bubbles at ours as apparently they stain the table linen Smiley sad

I think I will keep them for the photographs only. I never thought about stains but I guess it is a good point as I don't want to be charged for the runners on the tables!

It is quite common (by that I mean regular and not a derogatory common). It often keeps the young ones occupied for a while......

Avoid the champagne bottle type. More liquid that bubbles gets blown at the couple with those types.

We are putting them on a table with a sign saying 'Please take one' for people to use as confetti as they leave the ceremony (and I am being a bit naughty and going to ask people not to bring confetti as I don't like it). I never thought that they would not be allowed!! I wonder if I should speak to the wedding co-ordinator about it? I have bought ones with doves on the top, does anybody know if they are any good? x
