bubble vases for centrepieces

lisamarie85, 24 April, 2010 at 14:46 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hi

i am thinking of getting bubble vases for centre pieces - am just unsure about the size? im probably gonna get them from the net so obviously cant c them in the flesh

i av seen some for good value - but they r only 7inches across at their widest point - do u think this is too small? i dont want a single on of these to be lost on a round table seating 8!

just wonderind if any of u ladies were using these? and wot size u plumped for? xxx

The ones I ue for a round table seating 8 are 10 or 12 inches across at the widest point depending on the design. 7 inches may look a bit small it depends what you are putting in them and around them.

It is worth asking your florist if they have them for hire it might be cheper for you.

We had these, mine were 25cm which is about 10" at the widest part on 25cm mirror plates. Same as you, I was worried that smaller bowls would look lost on the table but we also had round tables of 8-10 people and I think they looked fine.

Did you do those yourself Gillsy? They are lovely and look spot on size wise.

nope can't take credit for this one. I just bought the bowls, dropped them off at the florist and she filled them for me. There were perfect size-wise

These are the ones I use which are the same size as Gillsy's - the smaller ones are OK for long tables where you are having a fair few in a line but the larger ones are better for circular tables when they are in the centre:-

These were for a table of 8 if I remember rightly.
