Bubbles Question

Shnarfy1, 12 August, 2010 at 18:11 Posted on Planning 0 6

This is kinda following on from Froggy's post about the bubbles she bought and reccommended. Does anyone know if bubble mixture will mark my wedding dress? I would love to have a bubbly picture but would rather not stain my dress in the process. Has anyone been to a wedding where bubbles were used? Does soap stain??

The seller that you got yours from does say that they don't stain but I'm really worried that it does Smiley sad

Bubble stain depends on the fluid that is used. I haven't come across commercially supplied bubbles causing problems, although bubble machines do rely on the owner having decent fluid and not cheap and nasty washing up liquid.

FWIW I do carry a bubble machine if the client requires extra volume of bubbles for their photographs.

Thank you Peter. Although I fell in love with the diamond bubbles I think I may err on the side of caution and think I will go without Smiley sad

I have actually been to weddings where bubbles where used, none with lots but quite a few. At the last wedding it was so windy the bubbles didn't go anywhere near the bride ? I'll try some with light clothing and see how it goes (and hope for the best).

Don't hold back..there are other ways. Think 3 dimensionally. The bubbles don't "need" to be pointed towards you. They could be a couple of yards in front. Still makes good photographs without the risk of staining.

Hi my other half is a DJ and wouldn't use bubbles unless bride and groom really really wanted them - they can stain, but tend mainly to leave things sticky and lots of venues don't always like as the floor surface gets sticky but more importantly slippery and people more likely to slip...
