Bucks And Middx Photographer Recommendations

Hi Tony, welcome to hitched!

Do you have any idea what style of photography you and your wife to be are looking for? Or do you have a budget in mind as that may have an impact on the recommendations offered

We are based in Essex, but have shot up in Middlesex a couple of times before.

Nice to see a groom on here, we don't get many of them!

Hi Tony, there's a lot of great suppliers on here. They'll all have their favourites too.

Other than myself I'd recommend Mckinley Rodgers, Albert Palmer or Brett Symes.

Thanks for the replies and the welcome. I'm on here doing the research as my wife to be would be happy just taking "selfies" on her phone lol.

To be honest i don't know what styles there are. I like the idea of a friendly, fun and laid back approach and someone good with children. My 2 daughters would probably be centre of attention knowing them two. My brother in law had a really bad photographer at his wedding with all the photos seemed forced and not natural. He was very much in your face and flustered. To me the photos are the best memory of that day.

Documentary/natural photographer then ? seriously there are a lot of people that don't like the forced staged in your face photos, I met with a couple over the weekend and they were telling about the 6 weddings they attended last year where the photographer was within a foot away from them flashing away at people, ordering them about, in the end they said they were looking over there shoulder all the time to avoid the photographer ☹️

As for children at weddings, you can get some of the best wedding photos of the kids at weddings, they haven't got a care in the world and don't care if people are looking at them and that's when the photos roll out.?

In regards to style I am inclined to to say it sounds like you woud like a photographer is able to flow with the day as it happens, not get in the way and on the fairly unobtrusive.
Usually the best thing is find the photography with photos that you like personally and meet. You will then have a good feel for the person responsible for your images and also know what to expect.
