Totally sympathising here! I lost my job on Tuesday too for the most ridiculous error of judgement I ever made in my life and the first thing it did was send me into wedding budget panic mode. Best advice is keep calm, try not to panic and just sit down over the next few days and work it out logically. We've realised things aren't quite as horrendous as they first seemed and I already have 2 interviews lined up.

Why's your dress too small? Is it ridiculously too small? The length can always be adjusted!

    When do you get married?

Apologies if I'm asking daft questions here but have you tried selling your dress on ebay, preloved and all the specific second hand wedding dress sites? I would have thought a size 12 would be fairly easy to sell unless it's a particularly 'personal taste' dress.

And how have you ended up with a size 12 if you're a size 22? Was it gifted/ inherited?

Hope you and your OH get sorted soon xx

Oh dear, I do sympathise with you because I know how hard it is when you have no money. We are doing everything fairly cheap. We chose not to compromise on our tog but everything else is minimal.

Without sounding harsh, it's time to stop feeling sorry for yourself and get proactive.

The day is about you two loving each other not the fancy things. Although I'd make him suffer a little for being stupid!

Rope all your friends in and become one of these DIY brides I'm so envious of (I don't have a single creative gene) , advertise the dress locally, and on other wedding forums. there's tons you can do. You just have to get in to the right mindset.
