Budget waterside venues?

delphi13, 19 May, 2017 at 20:51 Posted on Planning 0 1

My friend is looking to get married for £10k all in. Anywhere know of venues on water that are reasonable in price? She hasn't decided on numbers or location yet although we are south east based so I guess not too far afield.

No one could possibly answer that, its the most vague question I think ive ever seen on a forum

you need to know your venue budget (not just your over all budget) and what does that include (just venue hire or venue + catering or a full package with MC, decor and DJ etc...)

you NEED to know how many guests, you pretty much cant look at venues or get prices without it

when aswell is important, off season you can get lots of discounts - the off season is november to march the 'join season' basically october, april and maybe may might have some discounts in some places

you need to know your location too, venue prices vary by location

break down your 10k into the seperate catagories (there is a tool on here to help, you can tweek it adding thing you want and removing what you dont) to find your venue budget, ive known people with a venue budget of £50 (this is good for club venues - golf, cricket, rugby, working etc...) and people with a venue budget of £5000 (things like barns and halls) and everything in between so it really makes a difference that doesnt include food and other items which get added on later but you coloud look at packages ive seen many from about £3500 - £8000

Having organised my own wedding I would disagree with you. She hasn't decided on any of those factors and wants the best venue she can get for as little money. This is a post for people that might have noticed a nice waterside venue that isn't extortionate.

I hadn't decided on guest numbers when I found my own venue my venue cost decided how much I could spend on the other aspects. I guess there is more than one way to plan a wedding but thanks.
