Apologies for rambling..

Just spoke to my hairdresser to confirm times for Saturday and whereas I had them down to arrive at 7.30, they had 8.00 and I was calling to ask if they could get there for 7.00, the same time as the make-up lady. My hairdresser isn't in today but the other one who's coming out with her said she doubts they can get there that early as she (the one I was speaking to) has a daughter.

I'm paranoid about being late. The church is a 35 minute drive from my mum's house and that's without any traffic so I want to give it a good hour.

Make-up lady is insistant on 7am.

Hairdressers have 3 people to do, make-up lady four people, but there's one make-up lady and 2 hairdressers.

Hair needs to be done before make-up right?

I need to wait for them to call me tomorrow (or I might go down there to sort out)

Are just having it styled as opposed to washed and styled?

I just had mine curled and did my make up first and it was fine. Also they tend to leave brides to last so you could well have you hair first if the hairdresser makes you first and the make up lady leaves you til last.

    Hope that helps?

Can one hairdresser come early and the other later or do they need to come at the same time?

Not sure if hair needs to be done first - the occasional time I've had hair and make up done, I think i had the make up done first as she was using a hair band to keep my hair out of the way and then I had my hair done.

Gah, not much help am I?

Only one of the hair dressers drives. It is just styled.

I'll see what the make-up lady says, if we can have make-up done before hair then that is the problem solved. I'm sure it'll all work out.

Sarah what time is your ceremony at? My hairdresser did 3 people in one hour 30 mins and that with was my mum having her hair washed.

Ceremony is at 12, but I'm 45 minutes away and want to leave the house at 11.

The hairdressers will be quick and have us all done in 1.5 hours (2 hairdressers to do 3 people) the issue is the make-up lady said we should have our hair done first, but there is only one make-up lady and 4 people having their make-up done, it takes 30-40 minutes per make-up if I remember correctly.

I've left a message for the make-up lady as if she doesn't mind doing make-up before some hairs are done then there's not a problem. Gah!

Luckily nothing else has gone wrong...yet!

Ah you are 2 hours earlier than me so times make sense.

I don't see the problem with doing make up first since you aren't having your hair washed. The only problem for me having my make up done first would have been the fact I was under a heater thing to set my curls and was sooo hot so any make up would have just gone all yucky.

You said there was 3 people having hair and four for make-up? What's the other person doing with their hair? If they are doing their own, then could they not be the first to get their make-up done whilst you and the others get their hair sorted? Apologies if I've misunderstood!
