Burlesque classes

jaz hear those sleigh..., 18 December, 2008 at 10:11 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 7

Has anyone been to one of these or if not would you consider it? Am I right in thinking they are a bit like pole dancing classes (not that I've been to those but I'm thinking they might be fun and a bit of exercise?)

There are some starting about half an hour from me in the new year so I'm thinking about signing up but have noone to go with so am a little bit scared ?

Ooh how fantastic i love Burlesque. I've seen Dita though, so somewhat spoiled.

I studied dance /performing arts at uni- but this is a style i've never actually done. It's far more femmine than pole dancing...

I'm deeply envious you have a local class.

I'm very surprised I do ? It's a little bit away but not too bad as I think it's only once a month. All I know they want you to bring is high heels so I'm not sure if they expect me to be in the nudy right away ?

It's a pity the classes don't start until after Christmas http://www.queenbea.co.uk/collections/festive-treats

I'm doing a day class in the new year with Jo King. I went and bought an outfit the other day and I'm terrified ? From what I can tell it's nothing like pole dancing, which I have done too. Pole dancing was mainly fitness and bloody hard work on your arms, legs, shoulders, abs and whole body generally!

Oh Doughnut what outfit did you buy??

I was googling classes and found some people wearing some lovely things. I hope this might spur me on to lose some weight. I've just emailed to ask to be signed up, I'm a little excited now [twirls imaginary nipple tassle]

I bought some of those heart nipple tassle things in baby pink, some big(ish) knickers with suspenders attached, black sheer stockings with pink tops and a baby pink feather stick thing!

I don't think my norks are big enough to swing anything, and I am worried I'll be the most flat chested in the class ?

Lord I hadn't thought of that, I think mine are the smallest part of me. If they need me to swing something, I'm sure my belly will be large enough ?
