Button Bouquet - finishing off question

narie, 26 March, 2011 at 07:13 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hi Ladies - I need some advice. I have made 3 of my bridemaids button boquets and used a plastic holder surrounded with lace. I am aiming to wrap ribbon around the steps of the flowers but am left with a plastic looking funnel section that I can't cover. Any suggestions on how to complete the look?! The buttons look gorgeous - I don't want anything dristracting the eye away from them, i feel the plastic bit makes them look a little cheapy.

How have all you other button bouquet makers finished yours?? Flashes would be great.

You can buy a wider ribbon and then with a glue gun wrap the ribbon around the cone tocover it. Secure it at the end with the glue. If you wrap it tight enough it will stay in place. Like this but on a bigger scale:

I think I'd probably have given them a spray with some paint, either white or your main colour (close match) or something - obviously that's before you put the bouquet in and the ribbon on the handle!

I'd either stick ribbon on as Sherrie has said, or maybe lace if it fits in with your theme
