button holes

pumpkin_pie, 11 October, 2011 at 20:55 Posted on Planning 0 14

I have just done a little mock up of the button holes I will be making for our wedding and I thought I'd get some opinions. They wont be exactly like this, the middle button will be different and the twine will be thicker. The leaves are made from pages of the book The Little Prince (my favourite book) which will be incorporated into the confetti and the cake. I wanted a homemade look as thats the style I like and it suits our budget (these will cost less than 50p each) but I'm worried it will look a bit naff to everyone else.

Love these. I'm a button fanatic too and making mine from buttons as well. Really like what you've done with the use of your favourite book.

I really like them. It's the personal touches that add to a wedding and will get everybody talking and these sound really personal to you.

All of us bear witness to the dissolution of our piece of creation. Only the novelist can restore to us, in the miracle of ink that pours itself like blood onto paper, the lineaments of our lost worlds, alive

Definitely you should make these to sell. Etsy and Folksy are my 2 favourite place to shop......

I agree with the other comments. I have a shop on Folksy and think you could do very well with that sort of creativity. They look lovely!

    Great photos too.
