Buttons or Corset

Random Name, 20 July, 2011 at 10:09 Posted on Planning 0 21

A nosey post really. Just wondered if you had/will be having buttons or a corset back on your wedding dress?

Mine currently has buttons which I love but if I haven't slimed down enough (and there is no room in the seams) I may need to change it to corset back.

Genius indeed! The elegant look of buttons but the ease of a zip!

Corset, that way after I've eaten loads I can have someone loosen the dress to keep it comfortable, then can be tightened up once food has gone down!

Internal corsets, then zip-up, then buttons over the top. Took a LONG time to get in and out of.

Its the corset bit inside then the buttons are over the top so you dont see the string bit.....or you can get them with strap bits, like big bra straps that pull the bones in and buttons over the top....im not sure how to explain it!! ? but you get the benefits of a corset holding it all in without seeing the lace lol! god i made a hash of that ?

My bodice was essentially a corset made to my measurements but was secured closed with buttons. Lace up corsets on the outside always remind me of underwear so elegant buttons were a requirement for my dress!

Mine was a corset back, I told my bridesmaids to pull it as tight as possible, i could hardly breathe!! In the evening it could be loosened a little which was nice.

I LOVE the look of the buttons like on cricket brides dress but my weight goes up and down a lot so didn't want to risk it and thought corset was safer for me.

Mines similar to October11's. It has an internal corset, then hooks, then a zip. I'm not sure OH is going to be able to get me out of it at the end of the night!

I prefer buttons over corset fastenings because, like CB, I associate corsets with underwear and general sexiness. Also corsets take longer (and lots of practice) to do up.

Mine is corset. It was one of the only things I knew I wanted in a dress - strapless and corset back! My waist is small-ish (comapred to my "child bearing hips" and 13 stone a$&dollarSmiley winking so a corset is perfect for me.
