Yesterday we just about managed to book our cake making goddess, I was relieved beyond words as she was almost completely booked up, but fate had it that our wedding day was the one day she's free, so our booking is secure and we can relax on the cake-side until we need to meet with her next year.
Today, convinced that eveything was going to go wrong after how close we came with the cake business, we decided we'd better not wait any longer and get on with booking our photographer. We saw a guy at a wedding fayre a few weeks ago and I absolutlely loved his digital album and he came across as exactly the sort of bloke, character-wise I'd want taking my photos, so last night I was in a bit of a panic that he'd be booked up. The only reason that I was umm-ing and ahh-ing originally about whether or not to have him was the fact that a lot of other TOGs offer mini albums that you can have for your family, but I didn't think this guy did, well I'm obviously having a lucky week as TOG now booked, he was available - YAY!! ? . . . AND he does offer the little albums I liked so much, he calls them "Granny Albums".
So, one more thing off my mind!
So far the only thing we haven't managed to get was the DJ we wanted as they're already booked up on the date we're getting married, but I'm sure another one will do just as good a job.
My next job I suppose is flowers, I haven't even really given them much thought other than I want pale pink, possibly with some bright pink gerberas in there and butterflies to feature in my bouquet too.
I'm just SO relieved we've got the TOG we wanted, I'm a big photo person, I LOVE having memories recorded that way so my camera goes with me veirtually everywhere I go and I take HUNDREDS of pics, so my TOG was one area I was prepared to scrimp on.
