Cake box size?

RomanticPinkCakes24124, 11 July, 2018 at 08:36 Posted on Planning 0 1

Hi everyone,

I want to buy some boxed for slices of cake for guests to take with them if they don't want to eat it at the reception.

Not quite sure what size boxes to buy, I think that some around 10.5 x 6.5 x 3.5 cm would be big enough but my fiance thinks that they would be too small and we ought to buy the next size up - 12 x 7 x 5cm.

Any advice?

I would speak to your cake maker. They will be able to tell you how many slices you will get out of your cake, this will then give you an idea on cake size. I imagine the smaller box should be fine, but just depends on how many people you are feeding and the amount of cake you have. Lovely idea though!

I think it's better to bag them because then they won't dry out. Easier than boxes too!
