Cake help!

gemma.iles, 15 August, 2009 at 17:44 Posted on Planning 0 4

Does anyone know where I can I buy fondant lace applique bits like in this photo for my wedding cake?

A friend is making it and I'd like her supply her with these because they are so beautiful! My wedding is going to be in a vintage style and I love the look of old lace.

Any ideas?

Can't help with those specifically, sorry! But, I wanted something similar for my daughter's christening to match the lace on her dress, so I traced the pattern onto some greaseproof paper then transposed the design all over the cake by pricking it through the greaseproof paper with a pin. I then just piped the pattern onto the cake with a fine nozzle of white icing, and it worked!! Don't have any pics online I'm afraid, but it might be worth a try as an alternative?

    HTH!
