Cake recommendations in/around Cambridge

Ulli, 24 April, 2013 at 15:51 Posted on Planning 0 1

Can anyone recommend where to go for the wedding cake in Cambridgeshire? It is very important to us that it is not just pretty but also really tasty... Definitely no fruit cake, more along the lines of one tier chocolate, one tier lemon and another tier of something a bit extraordinary (you get the idea). No fixed budget as such yet, it is more a question of what will we get for what kind of money (but it would be great if it was under 500 pounds).

Thanks very much!

I know a fabulous lady who did my wedding cupcakes, but does 'proper' cakes too. She is based in Ely.

I am always disappointed with wedding cakes, as they look pretty but taste rubbish. Not hers, they were divine and still and scrummy two days later.

This is Hannah's FB page, she is lovely:

You can't go far wrong with Lisa from Cake Cuisine:

However, if you want truly stunning, and I really mean stunning cakes, check out this company:

I can tell you they looked utterly amazing and tasted every bit as good as they look! I couldn't tell you how much they cost, but I would estimate in the 'upper end' of the scale!
