California recommendations

Hi. We are off for a holiday in California soon. Renting a motorhome and going from San Francisco to LA. Does anyone have any recommendations of places to go/ things to do in the area?

    I loved Monterey. We did whale watching there and went to the aquarium. We'd had a very busy trip and it was a lovely break from the rushing about. Very chilled. 17 mile drive is also lovely.

    Lake Tahoo was unexpectedly good.

    Yosemite - make sure you book months and months in advance!

    Santa Barbara - have clam chouder and lobster on the pier
