Have you considered silk flowers instead as you love calla lilies but your MOH has allergies? Iive seen some pictures of Sherries silk callas and they are gorgeous

For the photo of the shower bouquet in fresh flowers, I would guess it would be around £80 depending on where you are in the country. If you decided on artificial calla lilies there are lots on my website but these are a few to give you some ideas:-

I have silk (foam) callas, even though my mum protested saying they're funeral flowers. I don't have a photo though - I'll see if I have a pic on my laptop at home.

I'm having Calla's in my bouquet, which will be something along the lines of this:

My theme is autumn, so features lots of oranges too ?

edit: forgot to mention I've been quoted £65=£75 for that bouquet, dependant on cost of flowers at the market when she buys them. Florist is in Newcastle so happy to pass on her details if you're interested.

are you my sister?! lol my mum says they're funeral flowers too. i don't want a full silk bouquet but maybe just the lilies would look good! also i don't really want real lilies in the house because they're poisonous to cats and i have 2

Yes, the top end of the range of artificial mango callas would mix well with fresh flowers because they are so lifelike, you won't be able to notice the difference. Lots of florists mix fresh and artificial these days especially if the fresh ones are out of season or too expensive.

    Thank you Soulmates.

The mango calla lillies are very realistic and you wouldn't even notice that they are artificial mixed with fresh flowers & foliage. Here are some of mine:

We're getting married at the registry office in North Shields, which overlooks the fish quay, and then heading to Pitcher & Piano on the Quayside for a meal and then a party in the evening. We have the upstairs booked for the full day. This is all stuff we have pulled together in 8 weeks, and we get married 4 weeks tomorrow. We originally planned to wed in 2014 at Longhirst Hall but decided we didn't want to wait, plus OH wasn't comfortable with the whole grand wedding affair so we've scaled back and we're both very happy Smiley smile

Have you got a venue booked yet?

I am also thinking of calla lillies & green eyed roses for my wedding flowers but to be honest im quite clueless so it was my florists suggestion!

She is basically sorting all of my flowers and im just going to look at her ideas and see what I prefer!

My bridal bouquet will be around £85 and I think this is quite normal. She is also in Newcastle area and also doing all of my room decor, chair covers etc too.

Oh is that the one on the road where the job centre is but right down the bottom. thats supposed to be really nice!

me and my mum, my OH and my MOH are going on Tuesday to look at my 3 possibilities. they're 3 very different venues. we were going to marry next year (around august) but decided to move it back ti 2013 because 2012 has some very big occasions (my dad is 60 and my brother is 30) so we didn't want the pressure of organising things while still giving them attention. also by going to 2013 it gives my family in Africa and Australia and Canada a chance to save and come too which will make it also a family reunion as well as a wedding.

were looking at the royal station hotel, the assembly rooms and as you like it.
