Not yet, I keep saying 'this weekend' and then something comes up!

Trust me - the time flies! When we set a date and started booking things, we had 2yrs and 4 months, now we only have just over a yr. I really don't know where the time has gone!

Hi girls, i am a 2010 bride too. 14th august. i was really excited at first but not to much now i just feel as if there is nothing to do.

so far i have booked the venue, the church the cars, a casino for the evening, an ice sculpture and going to visit a photographer tomorrow. got save teh date magnets

am hoping to start dress shopping soon. think i will get more excited then

Still got 409 days to go and it seems to be dragging in ☹️

I have only just started planning/buying things again, really should start paying things off but still have a few things to buy 1st, BM jewellery, FG dress, suits, mens shoes, presents, favours, invites, underwear but the money just doesn't seem to be comig quick enough ☹️

Will probably try and get a few more things out of the way at the end of this month...NEED to be doing something ?

I'm not a summer bride but I'm a 2010 bride! 8th March.

Just gone past the 8 month stage... as of our wedding day we'll have been going out for 5yrs & engaged for 2. Everything's going really well so far. Got pretty much everything organised. We're just doing little bits at a time to keep the costs low. Major things next are hubbys ring, mens suits, cake & music for the whole thing!

It's been such an amazing experience so far. We're making all our own stationery so feel much more involved in it all.

Debs1701, take it slow, there's no rush to do things. We got distracted by work troubles (H2B was made redundant) & friends which makes you lose motivation but you just need something to kick start you again x

Joanne, the reason why I want to get everything out of the way is cos my skin doesn't cope with stress too well, I have eczema and I want to be as clear as I can close to the wedding, the more I get done now the less stressed I will be ?

I feel like I'm just stuck @ the moment, trying to save as much money as poss & also just waiting for time to pass so I can get somre more stuff done.

Next thing on the list is going to give notice on marriage on 22nd of August, should have been going on Friday but had to cancel due to h2b working. ☹️

Then in October we have another installment to pay @ the venue & I will be going fabric shopping for my bridesmaid dresses with my friend who is making them for me.

I know how you feel think ive said before i was going through a planning slump but im going improptu dress shopping on Sat with my mum and dad!! Wahoo .... the buzz has come back....plus giving notice of marriage Fri.... Shame your not Keelz ....... Aug will come round quick though!!

Mine too Debs! My hands are the worst, they're very 'peely' at the minute. I currently have plasters with cream on the tips of my fingers just to keep them in good condition. My H2B is the same although his is severe adult eczema so it's so much worse when he has a flare up. We've done a lot really early so there's no stress closer to the day. Working so far! x

We are getting married 28 Aug 2010 and although I'm looking forward to the one year countdown, I'm also starting to panic a little bit. We started planning in February and so far have booked the church and the reception venue. H2B was made redundant at the end of the March and still not back to work so wedding planning has taken a back seat. I have lots of ideas in my head and I'm itching to get back in to it. Everyone else sounds far more advanced in their planning than me. Hopefully, it wont be long.

Cheers Milly Molly and Zippy getting really excited actually cant believe my parents are taking me dress shopping ive still got a year to go oh well....doing a bit of online research at the mo.....Im looking for a simple elegant dress, no sparkly stuff, lots of ruching to the bodice, a corsarge on the hip, nice lace up back detail and less material the better getting married in July, not fussy at all!!!! Any ideas of designers welcome..........

Woop! Ive just passed my year mark and it got me all giddy again!!

So far we have - Found my dress, found his suit, sent out STD's, been to see the registrar (it was quite strange having OH answering questions about me!) booked the registrar at the venue (1.30!!!!!!!!!!! - slightly excited) bought the invites - have yet to make them though, got the BM dresses - I know its a way off but I loved these dresses and they were gonna be discontinued, got their pressies after a slight online mishap ?...thats about it so far

...oh and we have to go to the registrars today to pick up our notice of marriage, as no one contested it ?

Out of interest how heavy is the ellis Bridal Dress, im trying to get a really lighweight dress as im getting married outside .... lots of walking and if its baking sunshine .... fingers crossed i dont want to look a sweaty mess if you know what i mean!!!
