I want a really nice instrumental of a song to walk down the aisle to. At the moment the front runner is Counting Crows - Colorblind.

However! I would love it if i could find something more meaningful to me. Music has played a massive part in my life, from the day i was in highschool and everyone was listening to christina aguilera and i dared to listen to bands like Funeral for a Friend and The used and got bullied to a frightening level over my tastes for being different.

But enough of the sob story. My main problem is im having a mental block! I have 100+ CDs of all my old favourite bands but theyre all at my parents house and i wont be going over there for a while.

Can anyone please jog my memory and recommend any songs or even just bands that may be lurking in the back of my subconcious somewhere that ive totally forgotten about. I'm talking about bands and songs like Lostprophets, The used (on my own, blue and yellow), FFAF (History), BFMV (tears dont fall), murderdolls, HIM, The Calling (wherever you will go).

I Just seem to be having the worlds biggest mental block - any suggestions would be very much appreciated. x

I wonder if the priest will agree to letting me have some Oasis...

We've had a priest allow Metallica before (nothing else matters, non-instrumental version)- but another who wouldn't allow the Beatles because it would "trivialise" things. Things like that are a bit hit and miss, but hopefully yours wont mind Smiley smile

Some great suggestions so far ladies :-)

I went to my parents tonight to pick up my luggage tags (god bless my dads ebay account! He's probably getting sick of all these little parcels arriving for the wedding lol) and raided my old cd collection. Mostly the music was too heavy but i found a fair few mix cd's i used to make when i was younger so I'm going to have a listen to some of them later on and hope inspiration strikes!

Our first dance is to Not Broken Anymore by Blue October.

It had to compete with several other of their songs as we have always known that it would be one of theirs but this one just FITS.

Walking down the aisle however I have no idea..

we are walking out together to 1,2,3,4 by Plain White Ts though

A thousand thumbs up! And I'm now very tempted to go with The Chad Who Loved Me as it's epic Smiley smile

My Life Story are also pretty good on the strings front, with the whole orchestra and all.

My favourite band (username might give it away) are generally not terribly wedding appropriate I feel ?
