How you met your OH:My first job in my gap year. He was with someone else at the time. They split, and we were forced together by a mutual friend who was sick of neither of us having the guts to ask the other out.

Other: We lived together after 3 months until I left for university. Living apart while i'm at uni feels bizarre! Together just over 2 years.

Proposal: Not very glamourous i'm afraid! He asked me very matter of factly while watching CSI in bed. I am promised a 'proper' proposal though, we too are doing things in a back to front way!

Yes, definately. Was that a wedding you attended there?

Yes, but not as a guest - I was the florist for this particular wedding. It's a really pretty church and I love the arched entrance to the churchyard. As I say, it's quite a few years ago since I took this photo but I'm sure it hasn't changed much - hope not anyway! It's gorgeous enough as it is

Proposal: On our first holiday together, my first snowboarding holiday, at the top of a mountain. I was cold and he went to get my extra fleece out of his rucksack. While he was bending down to get it he said "you know I love you?, Well will you marry me?" and I looked down to see him with the ring. I had previously seen the ring in a jewellery shop on Somerset, he had been asking if he ever proposed what sort of ring I would like and had pointed to that one and asked if that would be suitable. I never expected that exact one though!

Wedding Venue: The hotel we got engaged in in St Andrews

How you met OH? School. He was the year above me. We did our Duke of Edinburgh award at the same time, ended up at the same campsite, got talking and the rest is history, lol!

Proposal: Prepare yourselves for a long story! The basic summary is: he surprised me with a trip away to a beautiful 5 star hotel in St Andrews!

He told me we were going up to St Andrews to have dinner with his aunt and uncle who were staying in a hotel there. So, we drove up in the morning and had a wander round St Andrews, looking in the shops, going to the aquarium etc. We then went out for lunch and headed up to the hotel to meet his aunt and uncle. We went and sat in the bar area and ordered drinks while he went away to 'phone his uncle' (he was actually checking us into the hotel at this point). We then finished our drinks and he told me that his uncle had told us to just pop up to their room for drinks before dinner. So up we went.

We stood there knocking on the door for a minute or two, no answer. So then Kenny whips out a key card and swipes it (at this point I was thinking 'why on earth does he have a key to their room') and we went in. The room was beautiful- with flowers, champagne on ice, chocolates, and music playing. I wandered in shouting 'hellooooo' before realising that his aunt and uncle weren't actually there at all! So, then he asked me to sit on the bed, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him (I never tell anyone exactly what he said as I love the fact that it's a secret just between the two of us). He later told me that he had thought about proposing at dinner but decided he couldn't wait.

He'd packed a wee bag for me with three outfits to choose from for dinner (he forgot deoderant and a cardigan but did amazingly well) and we just had the most wonderful evening/night. I still smile everytime I think about his proposal. ?

The thing that shocks me is that he didn't actually plan much of it. He had no idea how he was going to propose until we were there. That's typical of Kenny, though, he's so laid back!

How you met OH? We met on a drunken night out but I actually went to school with his little brother so we sort of knew of each other. Will have been together 5 years when we get married.

Other: Not really an other to tell, OH has 2 boys aged 7 and 10

Proposal: I am another one who did not get a big proposal. We had discussed it and bought the ring and one drunken Sunday afternoon at a friends BBQ he began telling his own mum that we had been looking at venues and then called my mum and asked permission to marry me and put the phone down and said 'well I guess that makes it official then' !!!!

Other: Nothing really apart form OH has amazing green eyes and dimples when he smiles

Proposal: A very Monty Pyton style one! We'd had a really rubbish holiday and were going to my parents to celebrate their 27th anniversary. Taking some what of a detour, H2B took me up to Queens Woods, one of my favourite places, to have a nice walk after a crappy holiday. I got a stone in my shoe and leant against a tree to sort myself out. He said turn aorund and there he was on one knee in the mud with me stood on one leg with one shoe off!!! Definately a memorable evening!
