Camera bags

Knownowt, 28 June, 2008 at 17:18 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 14

Can anyone recommend a camera bag for a Canon DSLR camera? Do I need to get a Canon bag to ensure things will fit? I'd ideally liek one big enough for a couple of lenses too- is that possible?

Another vote for Crumpler. Get them from www.wesellcrumpler.co.uk rather than the official site, they're a bit cheaper.

Mr FtG has the lowepro SLingshot 200 (watch the video) for his dSLR, which he finds very practical, but isn't as cool as crumpler.

If you get the magazine photoplus, which is soley dedicated to canon, if you subscribe to them for 12 months their free gift is a Lowepro 200. I was gutted as I bought mine a week before the mag came out

meant to add that it would work out cheaper subscribing rather than buying if that makes sense

KN, you ll find the issue with any camera bag is that its never big enough in the end. for you i d suggest a billingham large hadley, good value from morrisphoto.co.uk or .com, cant recall which. crumpler is for teenagers imo.

I have a Jill-E bag which fits a body, 3 lenses and assorted stuff. It's pretty too.

Thanks everyone. I'm going with Nick's recommendation as the whole khaki and leather thing makes me feel very cool and "our man in Caracas"-ish. They all look good though. Waah, photography is going to be an expensive hobby, I fear ?

Well I have a Tamrac backpack which I love. It is big though so useful for hiking but maybe not quite so useful for small trips! Although it has room for at least 5 more lenses which I just need to buy now ?

I've got the Lowepro slingshot 200 which is really practical and comfortable.

However, I'm also after a Billingham as they look really cool, and will fit in better when we go to Goodwood revival ?

Theyre also really comfortable to wear due to all the padding. as they age, they look even cooler.

You're costing me a fortune, Nick - I ordered those CDs today and I'm very close to buying the bag at that price ?
