Can anyone recommend a website to find camp sites? I used one a while back, it was some cool funky named thing but I cant for the life of me remember what it was. also if anyone has any recs for sites around the lakes or mid wales would be much appreciated

Thanks em-ster, will have a look at those. I stayed in a national trust one last year and it was excellent. cheers for that.

I recommend Castlerigg Farm just outside Keswick for camping https://castleriggfarm.com/ and we're taking our caravan to Castlerigg Hall (across the road) soon (they take tents here too, but the field slopes a bit more!) https://www.castlerigg.co.uk/
