Months to go I'm in a panic. I am looking to get my cake ticked off list of things to do. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced supplier?

I had my reception in Teddington (nr Kingston) and used this lady for our cake: https://www.classic-cakes.com/ she was very good, the cake was lovely and on the cheaper side as well.

Not used her personally but this lady had multiple recommendations via the local mum's facebook group, I realise she says Cupcakes in her name but there are cakes in her album too https://www.facebook.com/pages/Saras-House-of-Cupcakes/188634071176610 . Her location says Carshalton, Bromley which is a bit wierd but might be worth a go?

    Saisi,

If you don't mind me asking, how many tiers was your cake and how did you find out about Classic Cakes? Did they deliver to your venue and set it all up? Thanks!

Of course ? It was 4 square offset tiers (chocolate, vanilla w/jam and buttercream, lemon, and gluten-free) plus 3 cutting cakes (one chocolate and two vanilla). Yes they delivered to my venue and the cake was all set up when it arrived.

It cost £280 including delivery and decorations (edible sugar flowers, edible ribbon and edible pearls) and fed 200 people (including the cutting cakes).

I can't remember how I found out about them to be honest. I possibly just googled. I don't think it was through a recommendation. I got heartily sick of seeing beautiful cakes on websites with no prices and then finding out they cost hundreds and hundreds of pounds... especially if searching for "cakes in London"! But Classic Cakes had photos with a price next to each cake and I liked the honesty and transparency.

    Cake was delicious also!

    Hi

I work with this lady and have sampled many a cake. http://www.kathyscakes.co.uk/

My mum also makes wedding cakes so I will be using her to do mine but if it wasn't for my mum I would use Kathy.

My mum likes to have at least 6 months notice if you want fruit and a few months if you want sponge. If you want my mum's details email me directly and I will respond. If not I would totally recommend Kathy. She's very friendly and does beautiful cakes, as can be seen by her website

    K
