Long story. Am a bridesmaid for my H's half sister. She ordered all the BM dresses except mine when I was up the duff. When she came to order mine they had discontinued the dress and only had large sizes. It was that or buy all the BM's new frocks.

I've tried First Tailored and Designer House on this list and they're both pretty good. I think First Tailored might be more suitable in this case though.

Thanks Pod, I'm North so probably a bit far.

KN - I will check them out.

I feel really churlish as she's a lot younger than me and it was so sweet of her to ask me but the whole thing is a bit of a bloody nightmare and not my style at all ?

I've used the tailors in Selfridges a few times and found them good (although i'm not sure what bad would be). They charge extra if it's an item not bought in store but I've managed to swerve that on occasion. It's about an extra £5, IIRC.
