Can anyone recommend a venue in the north west?

Hi Hannah, i'm really local to the Red Hall - its a gorg venue and very recently been re-done so its still fresh and sparkly! If you're interested in venues around Ramsbottom then try the Fisherman's Retreat too - its newly done as well and in a gorg setting.

Weve just booked bartle hall.....yay!!!

try west tower, barton grange hotel, thornton manor, farrington lodge, if i think of anymore al let u know xxx

Mitton hall, formby golf and spa (altho thats bit more merseyside but still amazing)xxx

We've booked to look at Red Hall as I say, I'm glad to hear it's looking good as tbh I was worried it didn't have much about iykwim? Although with that it does mean we can put our own stamp on it.

We are getting married at Garstang Golf Club and country house hotel in April this year and its fantastic! They have been really helpful with us and have gone out of their way to make sure we got what we wanted ( what i wanted really!!!)

We looked at leyland hotel, Bartle hall, dunkenhalgh, Garstang Hotel and golf club and Barton grange. Been to wedding fayres at farington lodge, park hall, and Wellington park. HTH x

Although from Manchester area - our wedding hunt was mainly around South Manchester/Cheshire so I don't know too many up there.

My friend is getting married at the Fishermans retreat and that place looks stunning!!

Garstang might be a bit far but I'll add it to the 'to google' list ?

We're going to look round Dunkenhalgh (need to make an appt though) and Bartle Hall. Will look at the others. Fishermen's Retreat looks lovely but could be out of budget, it's pretty local to us though!

I hear Saddleworth Hotel is a great venue if that's near enough? The Bowden Rooms at Altrincham was nice too, but probably coming a bit too much further out for you.

I am getting married at the Dunkenhalgh.

I viewed only 4 venues overall and they had the best package in a lovely setting.

There is the higher trapp over at Burnley which is nice I believe.

Thanks for this suggestion, we are still looking for a venue and love the look of the fishermans retreat...do you have any idea of prices? it looks lovely but then it does describe itself as a 'pub' so can't be that expensive surely?!?! but then it looks fancy inside!!

We have viewed lots of venue's in the north west, all lovely but not what we are looking for (either look or price wise!!) but might be worth looking for yourself?

These are quick calculations based on the basic package offered for each section, 40 day guests, 100 evening (can't see anything about minimum numbers) and I total it to £3950 for the venue, food, drinks, ceremony. Doesn't include any venue dressing etc HTH!
