Can anyone tell me about Cape Verde?

One of the girls at work has gone on a suprise holiday today. Her OH told her he was taking her away, pack bikini's and took her to the airport this morning. She has just text to say they are off to Cape Verde.

Had a quick look online and it looks lovely.

Anyone know much about the place? Thining it could be a destination to try next year in Spetember time

my brother went for his honeymooon in sept 2 years ago and said altho beautiful, theres not much to do, no trips to see sights and stuff..literally a lay there and sunbathe holiday. Its fairly new destination for holidays I beleieve so is still in its early days of tourism (someone correct me if im wrong!!)

I have been, the beaches are amazing perfect white sand crystal clear sea.. There isn't alot to do there are a good few bars and restaurants in the main town of Santa Maria. We had a great time and ended up going back..

I do recommend it if you want to sit relax and drink cocktails! ? I took this as we walked along the beach

We're going to Rui Toureg for our Honeymoon in June! Im so excited looking for to sitting on my bum and relaxing my Hubby after all the stress of the wedding!
