Can I flash my save the date cards?

*Mrs M to be*, 13 August, 2013 at 14:56 Posted on Planning 0 12

Hey Everyone!

Is it ok to flash my save the date cards?

I made them myself and I was just so chuffed with them I have to keep showing people! Haha.

I would really recommend to everyone, if you're looking at areas you can cut back in, and you've got the time and inclination, definitely make your own stationary! For all the blank cards, ribbons and ink for the printer it couldn't have cost more than £15 to make 50 cards. We saved quite a bit compared to if we had bought them, even the cheapest we could find.

I just can't wait to make the invitations now but that's months away! :o)

Wow! These really are beautiful, well done!

I booked my wedding venue on Sunday, so it's all systems go now, and have to start with save the dates as its booked for next august! I want to make my own cards too, as well as my invitations, and I know what kind of thing I want but there is so many brilliant ideas! I love the lace on yours, and I love rustic invitations with twine and wooden embellishments etc, but trying to find a design that can incorporate these ideas without looking overdone or tacky. Where did you get your inspiration to make these cards, and where did you buy all the stuff from?

    Thanks everyone :o)

This sort of crafty stuff is right up my street though. I was in my element sat in front of the tv on en evening with my ribbons and my glue gun! Haha

I just googled images of save the date cards. I want lace to feature throughout a little bit so I think I googled save the date cards with lace. I found a pic of basically this card (it was almost the same) and then just copied it as closely as I could. I bought all the bits on ebay because it's massively cheaper than hobbycraft!
