If I can't find the cards sent in the post? I've looked everywhere and they've just vanished.

    I think you need to take some form of ID with you if you don't have your card

    Yes, you don't need to take them, they just speed things up a bit.

    Excellent, thank you both for your responses! Alleroo do you know if I will need proper ID like a drivers licence or will a bank card suffice?

    FWIW, I didn't have my card and they didn't ask for any ID either, just asked my name and address. I think they were just happy someone had turned up; it was, sadly, not exactly heaving.

    I would take photographic ID to be on the safe side but if it's not far, just chance your luck! I went at 7.45 and there was only 1 other person there.

    I'm actually manning a polling station (or personing or whatever) we just need you name and address to find you and don't need any ID least that's what it saying in the guidance! Out of 400 poll cards sent out we've had 80 people in!

    that's pathetic isn't it? i know its only for european/local government, but its still a good way to send the government a message...

    Saw my neighbour at my polling station. She was manning it and said there had been 232 out of 1,500. Makes me all the more chuffed that I remembered at half nine.

    My F-I-L is manning the staion here and when we went to vote he said there hadnt been many in.
