Can I take another anti histamine?

I've taken 2 a day before now as like you I find they last only 8 years. My GP said it was a waste and the 2nd on doesn't do anything. He suggested I take a different one, so Loratadine or similar. Ask your pharmacist.

I'd say you can as I'm currently on 4 a day (2 one a day prescription only ones and 2 over the counter to try and kill my stupid Urticaria) but like pooch says if you can take a different one to the one you have it might work better.

Thank you both, I am sure I have another brand somewhere will see what that has in it, otherwise I am just going to go to bed!!

My H was suffering badly but has switched from his usual antihistamine (can't remember which one) to piriteze and it's cleared nearly all his symptoms.
