Can you beat my super thick comment of the day?

I voiced surprise that one of our (work) properties had 95 lodged instances of Asbestos. A colleague helpfully pointed out that it was probably because the house was built in 1947, so I asked if that was when Asbestos was invented.

I remember my mum and her friends, when I was little, talking about their labours, as mums do. My Mum woud say "well, with hyacinth i had to have a ceasarian" and the other mums would nod knowingly.

For years, and I mean years, i thought they were saying Mrs Airian, who i assumed was some *** hot, much in demand midwife who you were super special to actually get.

In my defense, when you consider they had all pretty much had their babies at the same hospital, it doesn't sound that awful ?

Yes, that would be the famous Mrs Aryan, who was indeed a blinding midwife - provided the babies met her strict racial purity requirements. Eventually she was quietly asked to retire - the hospital didn't want the publicity, which is why you haven't heard of her till now.
