Can you flash your table plan pls?

MrsLtobe, 24 August, 2011 at 10:27 Posted on Planning 0 52

Hey all

I'm looking into ideas of making a table seating plan and was wondering whether you could flash yours?

Unsure of where to start!

Thanks!

We used www.designercardcompany.co.uk for all of our stationary. It wasnt cheap but it was gorgeous!

    Use the IMG tags.

You need to put [ IMG] with the address of your picture followed by [/IMG ] and of course no spaces in between.

That's the page, not the image Smiley smile Don't need to put anything in 'tags'.

    http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?line=m&pageSize=100&style=A3540

That page is set up so you can't just right click and copy the image, sadly - frustrating I know.

You can find images on Google though - or just look at the site Smiley smile

My daughters's done by Laura of Maddox Designs:-

The surrounding bit is like laminated see through with bits incapsulated into it. This pic was taken by me the day before the wedding but on the actual day is had a backlight shining through.

Should you have your first names or "Mr and Mrs XXX" at the top? Not sure if there's an accepted normal for that.

cant help with 'normal' im afraid, we just listed the names of who was sitting where (our top table was round just like the others) but we put our fist and second names, me with my new name so Ross Geller, Rachel Geller

(no idea where the Friends example came from, first couple that came in my head!)

Finally finished ours - almost, waiting for one name on the bottom right table hence it's just paper rather than laminated card.

It's a 70 cm square mirror from Ikea (https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/90178428/ item 901.784.28) £14.99, on a table top easel I found in a local art shop (http://www.cowlingandwilcox.com/detail.aspx?productid=9458) reduced from £26 to £5.20 (they do mail order btw).

The tables are named after trees of the New Forest (top row) and animals of the New Forest (second row).

You don't have to - we just chose to, that's all. I don't know if there's a right or wrong answer really, we just wanted completeness and there was sufficient space to be able to identify them all.

We aren't bringing the cake out till the evening (one of ours is a butter cream iced one, so we don't want it in the sunlight for hours) and otherwise the table would be empty - and people might think it's for gifts, particularly if they aren't familiar with the concept of a 'post box' so they might think the table with the box on has the cake in it or something.

Nothing wrong with that - sometimes the more complicated it is the less people can understand it! As you say, it "does the job" pefectly well, and it's in your colours too so I'm sure it will look great on the day.
