It sounds a bit like the sort of thing my mil would buy me to be honest. Perhaps it's meant as a sort of 'towel that stays wrapped around you on its own' type thing? Instead of just wrapping a bathtowel round and tucking the top into it whilst you're drying your hair or whatever, maybe you pull the elasticated end over your head and then secure the tie bits to stop the bottom bit flapping open? A sort of towelling dress type thing?

Is it like a 'changing room' ? you get inside the towel get changed so noone can see ?

Is it one of those things you put on after the bath? Like wrapping a towel around you but the elastic goes across at the top to hold it on??

I really have no idea, she did say it was more of a summer thing....i think she meant more of a kids thing

Is it something like these on this website. Admitedly the website has pictures of children wearing them but adults can have them too...they're a staple of any Guernsey household who go to the beach!
