To start with, is there enough room to have 12 of you on the top table?

My friend had the same as you with numbers when i was Bridesmaid and the table went like this:

    from the front L-R

Minister, Bridesmaid, Bridesmaid, FOG, MOB, Groom, Bride, FOB, MOG Bridesmaid, Best Man.

The ushers were on another table which we were all fine about (My pal and I were BM's and our partners were the Ushers)
    .

We are going to have our own table and then the sets of parents are hosting a table each (H2B's Parents are divorced and FIL2B has remarried) so we're just having us and the BM and his wife and their kids at our table and then the rest of the wedding party is spread out across the other tables. (we are only having 40 or less at the wedding so it's only going to be 5 tables at most)

I think our's is going to go something like this:

    Bride's grandmother - CBM - Bride's mother - Bride's father - bride - groom - groom's mother - grooms stepfather - flowergirl - groom's father - groom's stepmother - best man

Groom's family are all German and speak a bit of English, my family speak no German whatsoever so we thought this might be the best way!

Ushers are sitting with their own families at normal tables.

While trying to mix up the tables a bit we're still trying to put people with someone they know and who speaks the same language!!!

There are lots of examples on the internet of different seating plans.

We had a top table of 11 and it ran like this:

H's sister's partner, H's sister, My BIL, my sister (BM), MOB, H, me, MOG, 3 best men

My sister sat both me (her CBM) & my H2B on her top table so wanted to reciprocate and then had to have H's sister too. Both our fathers were deceased and although H's Mum has remarried H wasn't close to him so sat him with other rellies & friends. 1 best man had a wife who sat on table with our big group of friends.

Bear in mind BM, best man & ushers partners as they might prefer to be seated with them.

We had FOG, MOG, Groom, Bride, FOB, MO

Our best man and chief bridesmaid are married so they sat on another table right opposite us.
