I don't have a picture of ours but found this on Google and it's very similar. Ours will be in milk chocolate with pink sugar roses. As for what is a reasonable price, well that depends on lots of factors really ?. Ours is £460 though.

This was mine, we paid £500 for it which was a bit over our original budget. I think it depends on how much you want to spend but I found the average when I was looking for a 3 tier was about £400.

Thats such a beautiful cake Liz... wow.

I had no idea they could be so expensive. Mine is 3 tiers fruit (7", 9" and 11") and thats £140. Slightly mates rates but think her standard charge for this is £160. Don't have a picture unfortunatley as its a hybrid of a few I liked.

This will be my cake but with mango calla lilies to match my bouquet. It costs approx £400 (depends on exchange rate as we are being married abroad). Top two tiers will be rich fruit cake with the bottom one vanilla sponge.

It's only because we are getting married in Majorca I have opted to have one made there. It's just not practical to take one out with us.

To be honest, if we were getting married in this country, I would probably opt for an M&S one too or perhaps look at Waitrose, they do wedding cakes too. x

Love this! So simple but so effective too. But our top top budget is £300 for a cake, and that is the very most. May have to do some hunting around!

That's one of mine! - the white chocolate square one with red roses that is (can't seem to manage to 'quote')!

Feel free to have a look at my site for inspiration.

    This was ours:

It's a Maisie Fantaisie rip off - they quoted £1,200 but we were lucky enough to have a family friend re-create it for £450.

Not got a picture, but ours is a whole load of cup cakes, very unweddingy, more like cupcakes for a kids birthday, all different coloured icing with fun toppings like mini marshmallows, sprinkles etc. Got a great deal too - only £1 per cake plus £20 for a top cake.

Ours is being changed quite a bit to have sugar paste callas with glittery stems and thistles (flowers in the pic are fake and the sugar paste ones are much much nicer and more life like) and the icing will also be kinda shimmery. I'm considering filling the vase that holds the 2nd tier with crystals or something sparkly but can't decide.

It is £200 and we are having the bottom in fruit, top in chocolate and then the same size as the bottom tier in sponge.

if the top tiers are fruit cake, won't they squash the sponge underneath?

The bottom tier will have dowelling inserted to support the top two tiers. We'll just have to rememder to remove it before serving!

Ours will be a bit like no 166/167/168 on here, but will be white chocolate icing, and instead of crystals there will be little edible pearls.

My friend's parents are making it. They're coming back to me with a quote next week, but I've been given a ballpark of about £100-120.

That makes sense. We had Mississippi Mud Pie on the bottom tier and sponge on the top. I had wanted the sponge layer to be bigger but the lady doing my cake said it would be squashed. I wish she'd told me I could have had dowling supports in.
