Can you work at the GP practice where you are a patient?

SarahR, 2 July, 2009 at 13:07 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 2

I'm applying for a receptionist position but wondered if you could be a patient of your employer?

I live in a rural area & the 1 surgery covers a 7 mile radius, my next nearest practice is some distance away & not on a bus route, so changing is not really an option.

Any advice much appreciated, thanks

Thanks, glad to know it happens, I was just thinking of seeing my employer regarding medical matters, bit I guess that just goes with the territory of working at a GP's.
