Candy bar/sweets table/etc

LallyHay, 21 August, 2010 at 17:26 Posted on Planning 0 9

Hi everyone,

Is anyone having (or had) a sweets table? My colour theme is pinks&white. Does anyone have any recommendations for where to buy the sweets from, and roughly how many I would need for 125-150 people? Also what time during the wedding day would you recommend opening the sweets table??

Any info much appreciated

I'm having a sweet buffet and I've just ordered the sweets from "a quarter of", I should receive them next week so I'll let you know if they're good.

I'm planning to have the buffet open all the time, for whenever people fancy some really, anytime of the day and night.

Thank you, I shall visit their site. What sort of 'weight' of sweets have you ordered for your guests? I don't know if say a Kilo of each type (having maybe 10 different types) is too much or too little.

It depends on the sweets... I got 250g of some, 750g of others, some come as units (candy necklaces etc). I've got 14 sorts (so far!!!)

I would suggest somewhere like Bookers (wholesale) you would have your pick of all sorts of sweets at trade prices. You caouls also try Costco or Macro, 'a quater of' although good is very expensive, if you're buying lots of sweets.

Good luck, I wish sweets buffets were around when I got married, as for sure I would have had one.

Do you have to be a member to get them from Bookers cash and carry, we have one near me but i'm not sure if you can just walk in.
