Can't believe I've missed out on so much!

AmyM2B, 6 August, 2013 at 21:26 Posted on Planning 0 13

Hello!

Am new to hitched as only discovered it yesterday! We are getting married 7 weeks on Saturday and I can't believe I've missed out on so much good advice and ideas on here!

Slightly concerned that I may be a little bit too laid back, starting to worry now thinking there must b things that I haven't done!

Looking forward to joining in!

Amy xx

    Hi

im new here too. I know the feeling I have pretty much everything sorted then found this website Smiley sad but I get to chat about the wedding without boring my friends over and over haha. We have all the big things booked but I keep having to write lists for the little things to put in the budget.

    Xx

Haha it's a great place to read about and talk about weddings without keep going on at friends ? and also perfect for telling people details that you don't want to give away before the big day but bursting to tell someone about (e.g, the dress!). Hitchers are great at giving advice too - it's been invaluable to me so far!

Is it normal to not have my dress home by now, seeing others posts who have theirs home at 8 months before, I collect it on the 10th sept so it's just under 3 weeks before. I've been undecided on my dress I love it then go off it, right now I'm loving it tho - gonna try and post a pic, I've added capped sleeves tho... Xx

wouldnt let me on my iPad.... Hmm.... It's the Victoriana from Maggie Sottero in Ivory xx

I dont collect my dress until the week of my wedding, but all alterations are being done in the shop so i'd much rather leave it there where i cant try it on every time im home alone and end up damaging it!!!

    Hello and welcome ?.

It's definitely good to have somewhere to talk about weddings so that your normal life can carry on as normal! I was getting to the point where I was forcing myself not to talk about it to the extent that i practically stopped speaking altogther but with the help of my hitched addicition I am a normally functioning person in RL again! ?

With 7 weeks to go and everything in place you must have lots to flash!! Once you're off the ipad Go on! We love a good flash!!

I have just 3 days to go and still don't have my dress at home so don't worry. I'm picking it up tomorrow and am so glad I decided to leave it to the last minute as I don't know whether I'd have resisted to temptation to try it on all the time!!!

We went shopping for the sweets not long ago, we went to a wholesaler and spent a fortune but I can't wait to see it all come together. Our favours for the lady guests are also glass sweet jars which I thought tied in quite nicely. I will need to decorate them but I just thought that they were so cute and the fact that they were glass and a decent size (250ml) was a real selling point for me xx
